And with no moonlight to speak of, conditions should be very favorable, weather permitting."
And that is what I find while searching through the web.
They also expect around 100 streaks of meteor light across the sky per hour, at or near the shower peak.
Everyone look-up and be alert for Perseid meteors, tonight during hours of darkness and in the nights before and after. Good luck in observing =]
